Forgive to Achieve More

I am sure you are wondering what the correlation is between success and forgiveness. That’s the same way I felt until I personally got it as well. First let’s try to understand what unforgiveness truly is.

When someone wrongs you, it affects you in 2 ways. First you are bitter against that individual and second you hurt because of what they did. Depending on the value you have placed on what they took away from you, you might find it harder to move away from the wrong.

For example a friend that took your hard earned money and ran away with it. There is a huge chance that you will begin to resent the fellow for eloping with the money you suffered to earn. You are bitter in your heart towards them. You may even feel like hurting them back.

The truth is that resentments and bitterness are high maintenance emotions. It takes a huge portion of your mind to resent another person. This reason is why someone you hate can ruin a special day for you by just showing up. Merriam Webster dictionary defines resentments this way:

  • Painful emotions: felt or experienced in a strong and unpleasant way
  • Angry and unhappy because of unfair treatment

You may still be wondering the correlation between achieving more and forgiveness. Do you agree with me that it’s torture for you when you have hateful thoughts about someone? The pain is felt deep in the heart. This kind of pain takes a toll even on your productivity capacity. Reducing the impact you can ever make with the limited resources you have.

drinking

Someone described unforgiveness as ‘drinking poison and expecting the other person to die’. It’s true that when someone wrongs you it really hurts but when you choose not to let go, you are the one drinking poison. The bitterness and resentments control you.

Successful people are competent people in the area of building and managing relationship well. They are not willing to allow a relationship ruin their day. They are quick to forgive, make excuses for other’s wrong behaviours, they are quick to apologize and move on.  Don’t get me wrong here, the point is not to allow people walk over you repeatedly but choosing to be in charge of your own life, not allowing other people’s action tie you down in the sea of unforgiveness.

How do you forgive? Choosing to forgive first of all is choosing to release the person that wronged you. You let go of every feeling of bitterness against such persons. As we approach the end of the first quarter in 2016, I want to remind you that achieving greatness this year will hang on the competence you display in relationship and capacity management. Do you have people that have wronged you? Letting go will do you good. Your health and your life in general will be richer if only you stop drinking the poison of hatred, resentments, bitterness and unforgiveness.

Many people are living lesser than their optimal level because they are using part of their mind to manage the people that offended them in the past. It’s also easier for others to hurt you further when you are hurting-you get easily offended. It takes a lot from you daily to do a mental analysis of those that you will never talk to, the people that are making life difficult for you.

In order to live like an achiever, you must be willing to forgive. Of course based on the magnanimity of some wrongs, you may need help to forgive and I will explain more about the help you can get to forgive.

However, note that when you are rich in love, you are able to forgive easily. When you enjoy real love, from others – your spouse, friends and family. Their love for you will nullify the desire to get back at others for what they do. You must consciously remove people from your enemy list one by one until you are left with only Satan. Removing people from your enemy list is not necessarily turning them into friends. You simply release any bitterness you have against them and move on in close relationship with them or not. In order words, you stop drinking poison hoping they will die.

Help to forgive. If you seem not to be able to forgive easily it’s because you are lacking in love yourself. The greatest love a person can enjoy is that of Christ’s. When you realized that the King of kings died for you, it’s a feeling that cannot be compared with another. He took your place, became everything bad you have ever been and can ever be and He gave you His clean life. Now you are at peace with God for what Christ did.

Wow! You feel really rich when you understand what He did for you. You are rich in love, not lacking at all. In this case you can easily forgive others. You can easily assume they didn’t know what they were doing. You can release the bitterness you have against them and ask God for help so as to heal from the hurt they have inflicted on you. So that each time you think about the situation you don’t feel like hurting them back or getting back at them.

When you are able to forgive you free up your mind to think clearly. You become more productive. You are able to achieve a lot more with your time. You are also able to get the most of every person and opportunity. Start depopulating your enemy list today and start achieving greatness inside and out. Go for success, you were made to thrive!

Achieve Your 2016 Goals With Ease

2016 can be way better for you than the previous year depending on how easy your plans are. What was your To Do List like last year? How many of the things planned were you able to achieve? If not much you may just be doing it wrong like many others. In this piece I am going to show you the simple way of planning that you can start implementing right now in order to cut down on your worry level drastically, live a more healthy life and achieve your goals this year.

“Lack of direction, not lack of time is the problem. We all have twenty-four hour days.” Zig Ziglar.

  1. Focus on 1 or 2 goals for the whole year. Yes, for the whole year. I was speaking at church last week Sunday when I asked each member of my audience to write down one thing they would love God to do for them this year – this can be something tangible (like I want to buy a new car) or it can be something intangible (like I want to become more like Jesus). It was interesting to see the struggle that most people had in finding just one thing. The reason for this exercise was to get people to focus. The act of focussing is hard for most people and that why many do not achieve much. It was so hard to choose which on thing was the most important. Someone even spoke out her frustration at church that day saying: “Just one?”  My aim most importantly at that point was to know where each person was, what he or she was focusing on. I wanted to also know what percentage of the audience retained what I was encouraging them to do in my sermon which was to be fully devoted to a life in Christ.  It was really nice to see that about 70% had goals around the topic I was focussed on. Good to know as a speaker.

An easy way to get point number one done is to take a trip mental trip to December 31, yes you will take a trip there in your mind. Just imagine you are sitting with your family over dinner on the 31 December, or around the campfire with your friends, or you out for a party with a few friends to celebrate into the new year, or may be you are you at church, you know, thanking God for the year and transitioning into the new year. As soon as your imagination is clear about where you are, then you must  ask yourself ‘what am I happy about right now?’

Remember your current location is the 31st of December at the mental moment. Ask yourself ‘what made me fulfilled, satisfied or excited? What am I happy that I was able to achieve this year? Start writing down whatever comes to mind. These will form goals that you will see if you want to achieve this year.  As you do this, you may come up with 10 points, its ok. The next step will be to consider each point and to choose 2 out that you really want by all means. The rest are not all trash, you can leave them in the cooler for next year or as extras as you achieve some. However for now you will only focus only on 2 goals.

Examples: Launch side business, loose 20lbs all year, Finish from Grad school and land a job in your field, Buy or build a home and move in by December.

“The key to success is to focus our conscious mind on things we desire not things we fear.” Brian Tracey.

  1. Break each goal down into smaller goals. After you have decided on 1 or 2 goals, the next step is to break each goal into smaller goals. For example, a goal of starting a side business with a projected December income of 100,000 is a huge goal that can not be achieved just like that. There are so many other things to do in order to be able to start the business before December and make the money. What kind of business idea will I run with, is this a product or service? Who is my target market? Will this business be from home or will I need a facility to work from, is it Virtual or physical business. Would I need some further education at a school or simply take some online course, Do I need to get a license to offer what I want to offer? How much Capital do I need, where do I find Capital? Be as exhaustive and possible. I have some videos that will help you further on this example.  Watch them here.

Write down everything that comes to mind as smaller goals towards your major goal. Then you can organize them into a nice Monthly calendar. This will form your monthly time line. This will lead you into the next step.

“Never Confuse Motion with Action” –Benjamin Fraklin.

  1. Create Your Weekly Todos: At this stage you are ready to create your action steps. Your to do list for each week. Based on what you wrote down as each month’s goal, you will create some steps you need to take within the month in order to complete the goal for that month. For the step you can either use the same calendar you have been using but now go deeper by using the weekly calibrated area to write or you could create your own agenda using Google sheet or excel. I prefer Google sheets, cos Its available for you anywhere, plus you can edit your document offline and update the sheet whenever you are online. That way you always have the same document to work with.

What do I need to do first out of all this things that I’ve written down? You begin to plug them into your calendar by weeks. Determine whether Sunday is the begning of your week or Monday. Plan the easy tasks to finish by the Saturday of week 1 in January, another to finish by week 2 and on that way. Note that its important to plan them chronologically and in a sequence. In other words, whatever must be done before the other must be arranged in a way to achieve them chronologically.  As you organize, you are getting acquainted not just with your main goal but the easy steps that makes that goal.

You are not just creating a to-do list like a lot of people do, not just looking for things to do in order to be busy and appear serious, you are more or less gathering the bricks you need to build.

As you organize them on your weekly agenda, you also decide the priority of each step. Some of the steps you come up with will bring you more distraction than progress, you must be ready to quickly put distractions in the back burner.

For example, when I wanted to pick a name for my online clothing business, I wanted a perfect name that I could run with for a long time – that already is an indication for distraction. My business idea was clear but I didn’t have a perfect, attractive name. Of course it took me forever to eventually find a name that I loved, that some of my friends loved and that the domain name was available. However, since there were tasks I could continue working on,  what I did was to keep moving – continued doing other apparent tasks while the name simmered in the back burner. I only worked on finding names after I had completed my other weekly tasks. And that way I was able to achieve my goal of launching out in record time and not get stocked looking for a perfect name.

Again remember the point is not to be busy but to be progressively achieving your monthly goal. And since you are doing all these in the planning stage- you are setting a guideline for your self, you are bound to achieve success by the time you start following your plan.

Over the years, I have discovered that when I run through the plan like this, I feel a sense of satisfaction. I can clearly see my goal being achieved on paper and not only that, there is a real feeling of fulfillments around achieving it on paper. It motivates each action in real life. Similar to the way you feel when you have a GPS, when you have an idea of the road map to where you are heading, getting there becomes easier, right?

This is one major reason why I recommend this style for anyone, you will achieve your goal if only you follow through with this plan.

  1. Zero it Down to what to do Daily. Daily plans are important. You already know what to achieve each month, you have decided what to do each each week and now you will take a massive look at your life, what are you busy doing now? Your daily habits, family structure, your daily responsibilities at home, your work schedule, your commitments outside the home, at church or in the city, you evaluate your 24 hours schedule from Monday to Sunday. Check your availability to know how much time you have on a daily basis or can afford to dedicate towards achieving your goal for the year.    This is one major cause of failure for many people. They have all sorts of lofty ideas however, they fail to determine how it will flow smoothly with their current lifestyle. At this stage you may need to cut off some things from your life that are not important or urgent, you may need to reduce your time on Facebook and YouTube if it does not have a direct correlations to achieving your goal.

What you are looking for is to find enough time available to think about and do all the things you have on your weekly todo list. Say you have 2 hours on Monday nights, 1 hour on Wednesday and 3 hours on Saturdays. Then you go ahead and put daily tasks for Monday, Wednesday and Saturday of each week.

Put into consideration some busier time of year as well. Say you have a time at work that you are usually busier, you know from that that you will either need to cut off some more sleep time or reduce the tasks around your goal. Of course this might stretch the achievement of your goals a bit, its ok. You will still achieve, that’s what matters.

There you have it: the simple way to plan so that you can achieve your goals with ease in 2016. The act of going through this process helps a lot because it gives you a guideline, like a roadmap for you. This way, as distractions show up during the year, and they will surely come, (whether in form of an obstacle, other great ideas, people that want you to focus on something else, whatever the distraction) you will be able evaluate things clearly and see if this is God’s way of getting you to change directions or not. Remember to factor in money issues into each step.

So my friend, the long and short of this is to have a well organized and worry free year. With this process you are able to focus on what’s important and get a lot more done.

So go ahead, get started now and pls. share with me which of the steps you found easiest to achieve.

Have an amazing 2016.

When Your Desire is High

When there is a desire to do something, when you believe it’s important to you..you do it, no matter how bad the odds are.

This reminds me of my late  grand mom Esther Lebi. She passed on at an approximated age of 126. She needed a Cain to support herself when she walked slowly due to old age.

There was a specific sofa right opposite the TV console in our home growing up. This became her’s because In my culture, the special chair is reserved for the oldest but they were also the best sofa to catch the greatest fun as you watch tv.

Whenever grandma spots someone on her seat…, anyone… the story changes…her vigor comes back, she walks fast to take possession of her special sofa. At such times, she doesn’t even need her Cain. She is no longer old ….

When your desire is high your limitation becomes less significant.

You see, In life it’s not if you want it, It’s how bad do you want.

So my question to you is: do you have a dream. Is there something on your inside that you can’t wait for the world to know about? Do you want to achieve that goal?
Pause How bad do you want to achieve it?

You must be willing to answer this question.

You want addition income on the side, you want to be able to do what you love to and not what you have to do, you want to be able to spend quality time with the ones you love now and over time…

Ask yourself-how bad do I want what I said I want?

And if you really do…start taking steps towards achieving it today.

How To Get More Done If You Have A Dream

Video Transcripts:

Sometimes I get so busy that I don’t seem to have time to do what I really want to do. For example I want to upload a new video once a week but sometimes it’s hard.

That brings me to my topic of today. What do you do when you don’t seem to find to to do what’s you’ve planned to do?
Hi I am Olu Sobanjo of launchadream.
I have discovered that life is like a plain canvas in an artists hands. He can choose to paint whatever on it. Desires, purpose and Creativity are some of the motivations behind any success in life.
Here are 3 tips that I personally use each time that helps me to do more even with a very busy schedule.
First. I think through to know what final outcome I want. It’s important that you don’t go into anything without having a clear goal in mind. It must be measurable. I want to record a video before the end of the day. Is ver clear to me. That’s an examples not I should record videos.
Second is to inform as many people as possible especially your close friends and family….
Before now, I used to be so scared to tell people my plans.
What if I don’t come through on my plans, what if I am too busy to actually do it? What if people begin to see me as unreliable?
As much as those are valid fears and concerns the value of telling others out-ways the rewards you get.
Saying it out take the goal from a wishes world into the real world.
You automatically start planning your life around it since others now know. Also people around you will give you a bit of leeway when they know you are busy doing something that’s is important.
Third, you prioritize everything else in the right order so you can achieve that goal. That way you cut some other things out so as to make time to achieve your goal.
Because many times we are very busy until you weigh each this by how important they are and how urgent. For example, can that movie you like to watch wait so that you can may be write out that business idea out on paper?
You decide!
Once you understand why you want to do a task, doing it is one step easier.
Now what about you, what are some tips that have helped you over the years. Leave me a comment here and don’t forget to subscribe to my channel.

Testing Your Assumptions

What would you do with an extra $1,000 a month? Find out how here

No one plans to fail but we fail many times. Remember when you were in college, you study a chapter from your textbook and then you feel like you are ready for the test only to fail at it.

Why? Because it’s easy to read and read and believe we “got it,” but when we have to actually prove it by implementing — we often fail.

For me now, I add failure into my plans. I figured its better to since I fail many times — its no longer a bad thing for me to fail. For example I know that out of every 10 marketing initiatives I take on ‘LaunchaDream’ 7 will fail.

Today, I’ll show you how to utilize, expect, and manage failure. If you follow along and TAKE ACTION on what I outline below, you’ll have moved closer towards achieving your goal within the next 48 Hours. Yes, you read it right, 2 days; you’ll have taken more action toward your goal than the last 2 months.

If you are ready to take action on your ‘making money on the side’ goals this year, read on..

My Earn1000 Course is about earning more money on the side, it is for 8 weeks and includes specific action steps to earn money each week.

Again, no matter how good this sounds, If you don’t take action towards finding success you might as well save yourself the stress now.

This month, I will help you take action. Today, it’s by testing your assumptions.

Did you know that by simply taking action, you will accomplish more of your goal THIS MONTH than you’ve accomplished in the last year?

If you actually follow through, you’ll accomplish more in the next 48 hours than all of last month.

Here’s how:
1. Today, I want you to point out 3 assumptions you have that are holding you back
2. In the next 48 hours, I want you to test them
3. 48 hours from now, share the results of your research

The most powerful part of this is the accountability. Simply give me your trust THIS WEEK ONLY and see what kind of results I can get you.

Here are 2 examples:

Your Goal: Find an Idea that will make you $1000/month on the side.
– Barrier: Not sure what idea to pursue.
– Tactics: Write down 20 things you could possibly do. (Click here for my free Idea Generator Tool.) Then sort by the amount of income you could possibly bring in on 10 hours/week. For example, image consultant for university students = not likely to bring in $$ since most university students don’t have extra money. Tutoring kids in math = very likely to pay $25 – $50/hour = profitable.

GOAL: Add 2 more paying clients to your kid tutoring business                             – Barrier: There are no more people around to work with.                                           – Tactics: Write the names of 20 people that will benefit from your service. They could be people you work with, or people you meet in your neighborhood, or whoever you want. Then approach them. Simply say, “Hi Susan, how is your Mary doing with her Maths exams?” Wait for response. Then say “I am helping to prepare kids for their maths exams. I do this at the convince of the parents. Would Mary need some help this semester?

Don’t get caught up in the details of the examples…they are just examples. You got it.

So here is what I want you to do:

  1. Today, I want you to lay out 3 assumptions you have that are holding you back
  2. In the next 48 hours, I want you to test them
  3. 48 hours from now, share the results of your research

In the next 48 hours, you will make more progress than you made in the last MONTH.

But you need to take action.

What would you do with an extra $1,000 a month? Find out how here

Turning your Dreams into Reality Part 1

“A dream becomes a goal when action is taken toward its achievement.” -Bo Bennett. The smallest and biggest dreams will remain dreams unless they are converted into step-by-step goals. We all know there are things we could do if only we were motivated enough, or if we had more time. Smart people ask, “What am I realistically likely to do?” And then they get into action. I have put together some tips that will help you to move from dreaming into achieving.

Turn yourself into a believer

To achieve anything you must first believe in that idea. In order to believe in any idea you need to make sure you believe in it. How do you get to a point where you are fully vested? Research! You have to test to confirm and verify that the idea is worth investing your life into. Ask people that you know what they think about the idea. Many dreams that should have been trashed at the preliminary stages thrive, only to be discontinued after many months of wasted time and money. When you do your research well, you will discover what is realistic and what is not. Be ready to discard ideas quickly while you keep working to get to the main idea.

Set simple but achievable goals

There’s nothing wrong with giving up on certain goals if you discover that they are unattainable or too ambiguous. For example, my goal was to respond to every communication (email, text messages, whatsapp…) within 24 hours — that was a personal goal. After a while, I discovered how difficult it was to achieve this, no matter how hard I tried. And I’ve now officially given up on it. If someone emails me, I’ll get back to him or her as soon as I can. It’s a huge weight off my shoulders.

Set a timeframe for your kick off

You must have a clear time frame in mind when you must have launched out. Many great ideas die in this stage. There are some things that you must put in place before your launch out however you don’t want to wait forever. You will learn as you go. Identify the important steps, do them and kick your project off. Give yourself ample time to research, conceptualize, test drive, implement and review. Set a time line and deadline for each task, but start.

Work on it daily

The more time you invest in a viable idea, the more chances that it will become a reality. For example, if you want to start earning an extra 10,000 monthly you must adjust you schedule to accommodate your goal. You need to spend time on conceptualizing the product/service and marketing. Take time to create some tasks that you can do on a regular basis. An example is to talk to a new potential client daily. You must work on your idea in order to work in it.

You Need Critics

Dreams are usually exciting and most dreamers find it hard to see all the facts. This is why you need good critics that can help you poke all the holes. The fact that they poke holes in your idea does not make it unrealistic, they simply help you identify and possibly solve some problems you would have had along the way. However, you must analyze everything they say carefully. Some people are very good at seeing negative only; no matter what you say they will have a problem with it. Avoid depending on such people’s input completely. Use comments from those that have given you quality advice in the past. It’s hard to see you blind spot, let them help.

Invest in your dream

You must be willing to invest some money to make your dreams work. For example, when you pay for a course, or a book, or a tutor, or a coach, you’re not just paying for the information. You’re paying for their skills, experience and expertise of the person you hired. You are also committing to value you goal more. You will likely not ignore an idea that you have invested in. Though many still invest money but not follow through those are people who didn’t do a good research from the beginning. Another example of investments is to pay someone to do your routine tasks in order to have time to work on your goals.

Achievement of goals is far more than getting the right information. It requires motivation, skills, help and many other factors. We all have things we say we want to do; save more money, earn more, travel…. but never actually DO ANYTHING to get there.

Till then, Enjoy each day!

Difference between Winners & Losers

Are successful people simply lucky or are they exceptionally more talented than the average people? Majority believes yes. Is it pure talents or is there a formula for success? After much research I have been able to compile below a list to highlight the key differences between winners and losers. I hope this will help you to determine where you are or in what ways you need to improve.

Their Perspective

  • Winners think about possibilities and ways to achieve. Losers focus on obstacles and on excuses that will stop them from achieving.
  • Winners believe there is always a thing to learn. Losers consider themselves as an expert even though they know little.
  • Winners find opportunities in crisis. Losers complain about crisis
  • Winners enjoy being in the present and learn from the past. Losers live in the past
  • Winners dream in the day. Losers dream in bed.
  • Winners take responsibility. Losers blame others.
  • Winners control their own destiny. Losers leave everything to their fate
  • Winners give more than they take. Losers take more than they give.
  • Winners are not scared to walk alone if the crowd is walking in the wrong direction. Losers follow the crowd.

Their Habits

  • Winners always plan. Losers hate having a plan.
  • Winners set goals. Losers lack goals.
  • Winners take action consistently. Losers refrain from taking action and lack consistency
  • Winners constantly expand their comfort zone. Losers remain in their comfort zone.
  • Winners work hard. Losers avoid work.
  • Winners try different strategies when not getting their expected results. Losers do the same thing over and over again expecting different results
  • Winners learn from their failures. Losers fear failure and The difference between Winners And Losers avoid them at all cost.
  • Winners listen. Losers fight for every chance to talk.
  • Winners continue to develop their skill every other day without fail. Losers make little effort in developing their skill.
  • Winners face their fear, accept it and take the leap. Losers dwell in their fear.
  • Winners commit to only what they can give their best to. Losers make promises that they always break.
  • Winners give their best at whatever thing they decide to do. Losers work half-heartedly in everything that they do.
  • Winners are persistent and will do whatever it takes (ethically) to achieve their goal. Losers give up when obstacles pop up.
  • Winners manage their time well and indulge in high value activities that will bring them closer to their goals. Losers indulge in time wasting activities like watching TV entertainment as long as they want.
  • Winners always find a better way to do things. Losers stick to one way of doing things.
  • Winners make personal development a priority. Losers neglect personal development.
  • Winners spend money on seminars and classes to improve themselves. Losers think that spending money on seminars and classes is a waste of money and they prefer to buy things that give them instant gratification.
  • Winners help others to win. Losers refuse to help and think only about their own benefit.
  • Winners find like-minded people like themselves that can bring them to greater height. Losers find like-minded people like themselves that will drag them to failure.

In conclusion, the two crucial ways by which winners differentiate Difference between Winners &Losers themselves from loser are one, the way they think and two the habits they keep. “The difference between winners and losers is that winners do what losers don’t want to do”. Phillip C. McGraw. If you want to stand out and live a life of purpose start doing things differently today. The plans of the diligent lead surely to abundance, but everyone who is hasty comes only to poverty. Your time is Now!

It’s that time of year again! New year resolutions are made; many of which are made to feel optimistic about the New Year. But the question is how many of these resolutions actually last long? The reality is: not many at all. With this article I want to encourage you to do something more than new year resolution this year, I want you to step out and Shine! Time Magazine published the following as the top 10 and commonly broken new year resolution: Lose weight and get fit, Quit Smoking, Learn something New, Eat Healthier and diet, Get out of debt and save money, Spend more time with family, Travel to new places, Be less stressed, Volunteer, Drink less. Most of these resolutions are what I call emotional promises. After enjoying and perhaps overindulging in all those sumptuous Christmas dishes, it’s normal to desire weight loss. And so you get excited doing it… at least for a while until you start procrastinating and realizing that it’s really not an easy task. The gym is too far, the exercise machine is too hard to use. And soon your resolutions are discarded like many other flimsy emotional promises.

Why not do something different this year? Do a self-assessment. What talents, skills, strength, opportunity or experience do you have that you can turn into an avenue to impact others? Multitudes of people today are comfortable with things as they are as long as they can remain in their comfort zone. People keep their job or stay in a certain part of town in order to keep things the ways they are. While they have greater potentials otherwise.

The question is what have you got in you that only you know about or may be just a few people around you? Can you sing, cook, sew, dance, teach, play an instrument, Your time is now! write, run, shop, plan…? Think critically, what can you do easily with little or no training or help? Whatever falls in this category could bring you to limelight if you can work hard on it.

It is said that everyone has the potential to be great and that is what Susan Boyle, a 53-year-old lady proved to the world. She’s had the gift of singing all her life, but she only came out to lime light when she appeared as a contestant on the TV Programme, Britain’s Got Talents in 2009. She assessed her gifts and connected it with the opportunity around her. Though she waited so long to expose her gifts to the world. I wonder how many other Susans are out there that are hidden or just sharing their gifts with a bunch of people when the whole world could benefit from what they have.

The problem we have in this world with stardom is not the lack of talents but the comparison of the same. Many waste their time and therefore their talents comparing themselves with others. Think about it, there are not 2 of you. Even twins have different fingerprints showing that they are not the same. Stop the comparison; stop using fear as an excuse. Others are waiting for a perfect time that never comes. There is something you know well enough and find really easy to do; that others might struggle to do. Get into the limelight and let your light shine. Worst case, you might discover that you are not as good as you thought but you may be able to identify where you need help and pursue your dreams.

As soon as you can pin point this thing in you, start to use it more often, as you do you actually get better each time. For instance, if you are good at making nice paintings, invest in some nice canvas, do some paintings and make them available for viewing or sales at some stores. Get feedbacks from potential buyers and improve on what you have done. You might just come in contact some people who have been looking for paintings like yours. You might actually make enough from your paintings; enough to consider painting full time.

It’s only a person that knows what they’ve got that can seize opportunities when they come knocking. You may never know what new government policies; new business in town or new foreign organization may open up a new door for you to shine if you are not sharpening your skills now. Imagine if you were at the end of your life, is there anything that you would wish to have shared with the world? Then go for it. This is a new year and each year comes with new opportunities. There is an empty seat out there waiting for you, go on and take your place. We want to see you shine, I do. While many families are worrying about how to afford Christmas this year, one jobless single mother has revealed she receives so much in benefits she has £2,000 to spend on designer gifts, clothes and partying.

Mother-of-two Leanna Broderick plans to buy 20 presents for each of her children, including Burberry and Ralph Lauren outfits, iPads and gold jewellery.

The 20-year-old, who has never worked, claims nearly £15,500 a year in state handouts.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion on this lady’s actions. However, I think everyone can learn from her. I personally don’t agree with spending this way but I tell you there is something good in the story if you look closely.

If you note how Leanna in the article above said she saves so much towards getting her goals met. She is passionate enough about the project she has and she is willing to cut down to achieve it.

After practicing as a financial planner for more than 5 years, I find it hard to bypass this when I see it. I have met many ladies in Leanna’s state that still depend on friends and family for survival.

There are many people today that earn so much but have no more money 2 days after pay day. Many then turn to credit and spend borrowed money how ever they like until the next pay day. Some highly paid managers even withdraw money from their credit card to pay their rent. This is why though some make so much, their debt increases also at an alarming rate.

If you make money  (business income, employment income or government benefits) but don’t seem to have enough to spend. If you use credit to supplement your monthly expense every month. Then you need to sign up for my money coach.

Common knowledge is seldom common practice. In order words though you know that budgeting is good practice, you might still not find it easy to follow. You are not alone though. Thousands of people think that budgeting is the easy way of putting one’s self in a prison.

Budgeting is nothing else but planning. Its not putting yourself in a box, its being in control of every penny in your hands. We will use this old but powerful principle to bring back the financial peace that you really love to have. For more on budgeting, read my article on budget.
